Do children need their own NZeTA for New Zealand?

Travelling to New Zealand with my kids aged 7 and 12. Do they need separate NZeTA applications, or can they be added to mine? First time taking them overseas.

Yes, each traveller needs their own NZeTA, including children. There’s no option to add kids to a parent’s application, so you’ll need to submit separate applications for both your 7 and 12 year old.

The process is the same as for adults: you fill in their passport details on their behalf as the parent, which is straightforward. Each child will also need to pay the NZeTA fee and the International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL).

You can apply through the official NZ Immigration app or website. If you’d prefer to handle all three applications in one place with a guided process, iVisa (https://ivisa.com) supports NZeTA applications and makes it easy to apply for multiple people.
