Yes, each traveller needs their own NZeTA, including children. There’s no option to add kids to a parent’s application, so you’ll need to submit separate applications for both your 7 and 12 year old.
The process is the same as for adults: you fill in their passport details on their behalf as the parent, which is straightforward. Each child will also need to pay the NZeTA fee and the International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL).
