My Malaysia visa status shows as approved when I check online but I never got any email confirmation and I’m flying in 5 days. Do I need an actual document to show at the airport or is the online status enough?
Don’t panic, this actually happens fairly often with the Malaysia e-visa system! The online status showing “approved” is the authoritative one. If it says approved, you are approved. The email confirmation sometimes gets delayed or ends up in spam, or occasionally just doesn’t come through.
For travel, you’ll want to print or save a copy of the approval page showing your approved status, as immigration may ask to see it. You can also log back into the portal where you applied and download or screenshot your approval. If you applied through iVisa, you should be able to retrieve the approval document from your account there as well. Safe travels!!!
