Do I need to complete a Malaysia digital arrival card before flying?

I’m flying to Kuala Lumpur next month and someone in a travel group mentioned there’s a digital arrival card you have to fill in before landing. Is this actually mandatory?

Yes, it’s mandatory! Malaysia introduced the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) and all foreign visitors are required to complete it before arriving. It’s not something you can do at the airport on arrival, so make sure you fill it in ahead of your flight.

You can complete it here: https://www.mdac.com.my. It’s free and usually takes just a few minutes. You’ll need your passport details, flight info, and accommodation address in Malaysia handy.

I’d recommend doing it a day or two before you fly just to avoid any last-minute stress. Enjoy Kuala Lumpur!
