Attending a conference in Singapore this year, do I need an arrival card to enter? Never been to Singapore so I’m not really familiar with the requirements. Guidance would be appreciated.
Hey, welcome! Yes, you’ll definitely need to submit the SG Arrival Card (SGAC) before you fly. It’s mandatory for pretty much all foreign visitors. The good news is it’s free and only takes about 10 minutes to fill out.
You need to submit it within 3 days of your arrival date (including the day itself), so don’t do it too early. Once submitted, you’ll get a confirmation email. Just have that handy when you arrive.
One thing worth knowing: the SGAC isn’t a visa. If your nationality requires a visa for Singapore, that’s a separate thing you’d need to sort out first. Worth double-checking before you travel….
You can submit directly through the official ICA portal or the MyICA mobile app, both free. There’s also other third party alternatives you could look into that will help you do this.
Here’s the Official submission portal: https://eservices.ica.gov.sg/sgarrivalcard/
I’d also check: https://www.ica.gov.sg/enter-transit-depart/entering-singapore/visa_requirements
Hope the conference is great! Singapore is an amazing city!
Ah i see. Didn’t know the difference between the SGAC and the Visa. This was helpful.
