Trying to decide where to apply for my Indonesia e-visa. The official government portal looks a bit outdated and I’m worried about it crashing mid-application. Has anyone had issues with it? Any platforms you think are reliable?
You’re not alone in finding the official Indonesian e-visa site a bit clunky. It does work, but it can be slow and occasionally times out, which is frustrating mid-application. I’d suggest saving your progress frequently if you go that route. The official site is: https://molina.imigrasi.go.id
That said, both options are legitimate. The main difference is that third-party services like iVisa charge a service fee on top of the government fee, but in return you get a smoother form experience, document checks, and customer support if something goes wrong. I used iVisa for my Indonesia visa last year and it was straightforward with no issues, I’d highly recommend it to anyone!!
If you’re comfortable with a bit of tech friction and want to save the service fee, go official. If you’d rather have someone in your corner and a cleaner process, a reputable third party is a reasonable option. Just make sure whichever third party you use is well-reviewed before handing over your details.
