Submitted my Brazil visa application over 9 days ago and haven’t heard anything back. My trip is in 3 weeks and I’m starting to stress. Is this a normal wait time or should I be following up somewhere?
9 days is within the normal processing window for a Brazil e-visa, which can take anywhere from a few days up to 2 weeks, so try not to panic just yet. That said, with 3 weeks until your trip it’s definitely worth following up now rather than waiting longer.
First, check your application status on the official portal where you applied. If you went through the Brazilian government’s e-visa site you can log back in and check: https://formulario-mre.serpro.gov.br/ena/index.xhtml
If the status hasn’t updated or you’re not getting a clear answer, contact the nearest Brazilian consulate directly as they can sometimes expedite or at least give you a status update. If you applied through a third-party service, reach out to their support team as they can follow up on your behalf. Three weeks is still workable but I’d chase it up today!
